2011: Brandon Hall Gold Award for Best Use of Mobile Learning
LINE was awarded top honours for their work for the Royal School of Artillery by creating an iPad app, which helped to improve levels of learner motivation and reduce overall costs of training in Fire Control Orders.

2011: E-Learning Gold Award for Excellence in the Production of Learning Content – Not for Profit Sector
LINE secured a gold award with a programme on Bone Fracture Classification for AO Foundation, combining the best in narrative, gaming and realistic practice.

LINE fought off stiff competition from 300 other entries and twenty different countries to pick up a Gold Award for their work, carried out with Inter IKEA Systems BV, called ‘Discovering the IKEA Concept‘.

2009: National Training Award for Partnership and Collaboration
LINE won the award for the design and delivery of a major blended learning programme for the Identity and Passport Service (IPS). Working in partnership with IPS and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LINE developed a programme which helps to combat passport fraud and identity theft.

2009: E-Learning Industry Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement
Piers Lea, CEO of LINE, won the award in recognition of his contribution to the e-learning industry and his inspirational leadership of LINE since 1989. The entry for this award was supported by glowing commendations from clients, partners and from members of the LINE team.

2009: E-Learning Award for Excellence in the Production of Learning Content
LINE developed a Learning Centre and Foundation Skills programme for Ford of Europe. The programme, designed to engage 21,000 learners within Ford’s dealerships across Europe, was translated into 23 European languages. It has secured significant business results for Ford since its launch in early 2008.

2008: IVCA Gold Award for Internal Interactive Media
LINE collected a major European award for a bespoke communications programme for Ford. It conveyed the importance of brand as a concept to 25,000 Ford employees across Europe and explored the rationale behind Ford’s ‘Feel the difference’ marketing campaign.

2008: e-Learning Project of the Year for MOD Cultural Awareness
The Institute of IT Training awarded LINE the Gold Award for e-Learning Project of the Year for its Cultural Awareness programme. The judges “were impressed with the programme’s completely user-centered approach and excellent embedded use of video diaries.”

2007: Online Solution of the Year for BBC Legal Online
The World of Learning Conference and Exhibition, WOLCE, awarded both LINE and the BBC top honours for the co-produced BBC Legal Online training programme.

A highly prestigious award won against global competition for LINE’s scenario based Cultural Awareness programme. This was developed as pre-deployment training for service personnel prior to tours of duty in Iraq.

2007: IT Training award for BBC Editorial Policy
The IT Training award for e-Learning Project of the Year, given by The Institute of IT Training, was presented to LINE Communications for the BBC Editorial Policy programme. The bronze winning programme was described by judges as “especially impressive… timely and effective”.
